CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley announced that a Cuyahoga County grand jury has returned an indictment charging Michael Mann, 52, for the sexual assault of three females, ages 35, 31, and 26. We believe there may be additional victims.

“Michael Mann is a disgusting individual who preyed on innocent women who were responding to employment opportunities. He is currently in custody and has been indicted on several counts including rape and kidnapping. We believe there may be additional victims. Between May 1, 2021, and March 31, 2023, Michael Mann, who at times would use the aliases of “Rick” “Rico” “Ricardo” and/or “R,” would message multiple women and offer them $2,000 or more to work as a server at a private event or high-stakes poker game at a hotel in Cleveland. Mann would specifically target and contact women through ads online. The women would then travel from different cities, including the Akron/Canton area, to meet him in Cleveland. Once the women arrived at the hotel, Mann would demand a sum of cash for a hotel room deposit. He would then isolate the women and sexually assault them.

Mann is currently charged with rape and kidnapping among other charges for sexually assaulting three females ages 35, 31, and 26. We believe there may be additional victims, including victims before 2021 and as recent as 2024.

Please note: Michael Mann is known to use aliases such as “Rick” “Rico” “Ricardo” and/or “R.” There could potentially be other aliases utilized by Mann.

On November 5, 2024, Michael Mann was indicted on the following charges:

  • Five counts of Rape
  • Three counts of Kidnapping
  • One count of Attempted Rape
  • One count of Gross Sexual Imposition

On November 18, 2024, Mann was arrested by the Cleveland Division of Police and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department and is currently being held at the Cuyahoga County Jail. He will be arraigned on November 21, 2024, at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center.
