Robert Polk “Hezi” – Part of the Misfits Group Chat

From September 28 to September 29, 2024, Robert Polk organized multiple street takeovers. Polk wore a mask and used earpieces and two-way radios to communicate and coordinate with other participants. He scouted various locations for the street takeovers as well as helped promote the illegal takeovers. Polk also acted as a videographer.

Iziah Bond

On September 28, around 11:10 p.m., Iziah Bond attended and participated in an illegal street takeover near East 55th Street and Woodland Avenue. Several vehicles engaged in blocking intersections and participating in burnouts and donuts in the middle of the intersections.  The Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority Police (CMHA) and the Cleveland Division of Police (CDP) responded to the scene.

Later that night around 11:36 p.m., Bond attended an illegal street takeover near Lee Road and Miles Avenue in Cleveland. Several vehicles engaged in blocking intersections and participating in burnouts and donuts in the middle of the intersections. CDP responded to the scene. Multiple people jumped on top of a City of Cleveland vehicle and on the hoods of CDP vehicles – banging on the windows with closed fists.

Afterwards, around 12:27 a.m., Bond attended an illegal street takeover near West 65th Street and Lorain Avenue. Several vehicles engaged in blocking intersections and running red lights. CDP responded to the scene. Several gunshots were heard, and a CDP officer was shot with an airsoft gun.

That same night around 1:17 a.m., Bond attended and participated in an illegal street takeover near West 25th Street and Lorain Avenue in Cleveland. Several vehicles engaged in drag racing, blocking intersections, participating in burnouts and donuts in the middle of the intersections, setting off fireworks, and stopped an RTA bus from proceeding through. There were approximately 80-100 vehicles purposely parked to block all four sides of the intersection. CDP responded to the scene.

Later the same night around 3 a.m., Bond attended an illegal street takeover at the Broadway Shopping Plaza on Broadway Avenue in Cleveland. Several vehicles engaged in performing donuts. Several shots were then fired – striking three males. CDP responded to the scene.

Further investigation conducted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department revealed Iziah Bond’s black 2012 Dodge Charger was observed blocking intersections and performing donuts. After the street takeovers, Bond made physical alterations to his vehicle (including covering his license plate – see picture below) and had multiple stolen vehicle parts – including VIN numbers. Additionally, a firearm was located inside Bond’s vehicle.

On October 18, 2024, Iziah Bond was arrested and on December 17, 2024, Robert Polk was arrested.

“Judgment day came for these two idiots, and the results should send a message to anyone who thinks street takeovers are a good idea. As summer is approaching, these sentences are a stern reminder of the consequences you will face if you participate in street takeovers in Cuyahoga County.”

Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley

“Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. and the Federal Consent Decree have completely neutered the Cleveland Police Department. This video is an embarrassment to the city and both frustrating and humiliating to the officers who are helpless to stop it. It is no surprise that CPD is having a difficult time attracting and keeping officers. I pray for the citizens of Cleveland.”
