CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley announced that a Cuyahoga County grand jury has returned an indictment charging Donald Jackson-Gates, 19, for the murder of a 20-year-old male in Cleveland.
On May 14, 2022, the victim was hanging out near East 40th Street and Quincy Avenue in Cleveland. Donald Jackson-Gates approached the victim and shot him several times. The Cleveland Division of Police, the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, and Cleveland Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and the victim was pronounced deceased.
Donald Jackson-Gates has been indicted on the following charges:
- One count of Aggravated Murder
- Two counts of Murder
- Two counts of Felonious Assault
- One count of Having Weapons Under Disability
Jackson-Gates will be arraigned at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center at a later date.
